That Unique and Wonderful Place was originally located at 104 N. Salem Street in downtown Apex 18 years ago. It started out with antiques and over a period of several years added gifts, a Christmas shop and toy store. It closed down due to family illness and has now re-opened at 211A-2 South Salem Street. It is located on the corner of Moore Street and N. Salem Street known as Salem Commons. This building also houses a florist and a chiropractor.
Carole Kish, one of the original owners, will strive to maintain the same welcoming atmosphere where customers can relax and enjoy their shopping experience or just try their skills at a game of checkers. Carole will be carrying a full selection of Melissa and Doug Wooden toys and will gradually be adding other lines of toys. There is a separate room with play tables for kids. An additional room is filled with antiques, furniture and collectibles.
Services offered are: gift wrapping, birthday club and discounts for teachers. The antique shop also takes consignments. Coming soon: birthday parties, story telling and extended hours on Thursdays and Fridays until 7.00 p.m. Current store hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or you may call for an appointment.
