Friday November 30 Activities
The Annual “Christmas on Salem Street” events begin at 5:00 PM on Friday November 30th with Christmas Carols at the Depot, followed by the Lighting of the Apex Christmas Tree by Mayor Lance Olive. Then Santa & Mrs. Claus arrive on one of the Horse Drawn Carriages at the front of the Downtown Fire House between 5:45 and 6:00 PM.

After Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at 6:00 PM, they walk around Downtown Apex to talk and mingle with the children. They do not ride on the Carriage rides.

Please note that for both the Carriage and Kiddy Train rides, children 12 & under must be accompanied by at least 1 adult.

- “Make Your Own Ornament” in the areas in front of the Apex Chamber of Commerce (Old Train Depot) from 6 to 9 PM
- Christmas Cookie Decorating
- Face Painting
- Sidewalk Carolers
Saturday December 1 Activities

- Apex Rotary Pancake Breakfast, 7-11 AM at the Apex Downtown Fire House
- Pictures with Santa, 9AM – 2PM, will be at The Apex Depot (Chamber of Commerce)
- And the Grand Christmas Parade starts down Salem Street at 5:00 PM. The Apex Rotary Club manages the parade, and more information can be found on the Apex Rotary Club website.
Tickets will be available starting at 8:30 AM. These tickets will be for one of the hourly time slots to help give people time to roam downtown and have a closer approximate time when to be in the actual picture line. It does help keep the line waiting time shorter.
The cost for the “Pictures with Santa” is $25.00 for a CD of about 12 to 15 pictures.
Children are also able to sit & visit Santa for no cost, but pictures are not allowed to be taken.
Sunday December 2 Activities
Annual Apex Historical Holiday Home Tour.
- This occurs from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and the cost is $10.00 per person.
- Tickets can be purchased anytime in advance at the Apex Chamber of Commerce or the Rusty Bucket.

All of the downtown restaurants and shops will be open for business Friday Evening and all day Saturday. Some will be open on Sunday too.
