October 2017 Highlights in Downtown Apex

October in #DowntownApexNC is a real delight, with weather that’s perfect for a night out on the town or strolling along Salem Street. There plenty of unique shops offering clothing, accessories, books, antiques, and more! There are also numerous professional and service businesses from psychotherapy to insurance to hair salons to real estate. No need to drive here, there, and everywhere – Downtown Apex has it all!

Witches Night Out in Downtown Apex NC The Apex Farmers Market has a few more weeks left, with October 22 being the last Saturday of operations for 2016. It’s a great place to pick up your pumpkins for Halloween. Speaking of Halloween, there’s a lot going on at the end of the month, with Witches Night Out on Salem Street on Friday October 27 (5pm to 9pm), and Trick or Treat on Salem Street on Saturday, October 28 (4pm to 6pm)

Witches Night Out on Salem Street (Friday Oct. 27) – Stores will be open late and some will offer discounts to shoppers wearing witch hats. So grab some friends, and shop, eat, and have fun on Salem Street! Come down early with the family (5-7pm) and and stay late with the witches (7-9pm)!

Halloween in Downtown Apex NC Trick-or-Treat on Salem Street (Saturday Oct. 28) – Dress up the kids in Halloween costumes, dress up yourself, and head on down to Salem Street from 4pm to 6pm. Local merchants and businesses will be handing out candy and treats to costumed children. This has become quite an event in recent years, attracting hundreds of ghosts and goblins, and Salem Street will be closed downtown to ensure everyone’s safety.

Again, October is a great month to visit #DowntownApexNC, especially if you need something fun to do for Halloween. But don’t wait until the end of the month – there’s plenty to see and do anytime in Historic Downtown Apex NC.

Parking Around Downtown Apex

There is a variety of public and other off-street parking areas around the downtown area, including schools, parks, churches, and the Apex Town Hall. Most are within short walking distance. These parking areas are in addition to on-street parking on the streets in and around Downtown Apex. CLICK HERE for a map of these parking areas. In addition, bringing dogs, bicycles, and small motorized vehicles such as scooters to Downtown Apex events is discouraged.
